Adobe has the following pre-requisites for Illustrator CS6:

  • The candidate should have at least three years ' experience as a graphic designer or illustrator.
  • Must be familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Bridge.
  • Should have experience in conceptual design and creation of comps, and also familiar with scanners and tablet input devices.

The following are typical tasks that a candidate shouldbe able to perform:

  • Setup multiple artboards
  • Create rough designs for artwork (typically logos)
  • Create multiple comps for a given assignment
  • Understanding of how to work in the Work area
  • Select and customize workspaces
  • Navigate between artboards

What is the exam's retake policy?

In the event that you fail your first attempt at passing ILCS6 examination, Adobe's retake policy is:

  • Candidates will be required to wait for a period of 14 days from the date of the last attempt before they can retake the exam.
  • The candidates who failed their exams in first attempt, cannot retake it more than three times in a 12 month (1 year) period. They need to wait for 12 months before attempting the 4th retake exam.
What is the validity of the certification? The Illustrator CS6 certification has no expiration. The certification holder is certified for life unless the vendor changes their policy.
